Organisation
The Portishead Lifeboat Trust is headed by our Chairman, Mr John Gittings. His team of Trustees is responsible for the Operational and Administrative running of the Trust as follows.

Vice Chairman & Company Secretary
Neil Sutor - Responsible for Secretarial, Personnel, Discipline, Grant Aid, Pagers, New Projects, Liaison with external agencies (Police, HMCG, RNLI etc.)

Operations Director & Launch Authority
Bob Crane - Responsible for Coxswains and Crew, Shore Helpers, Repairs, Maintenance, Equipment, Boat Surveys and Boathouse

Training Officer
Dave Hodges - Responsible for Training Officers, Speciallist Trainers, Recruitment, Crew Selection, Training, Examinations & Attendance

Treasurer
John Gittings - Responsible for liaising with our Auditor, the Charity Commission and Companies House, Collection boxes, Banking, Investments, Gift Aid & Insurance.

Fund Raising
Vacant Position - Responsible for "Friends of TPLT", Newsletter, Social events, Public Events, Street Collections, Donations, Raffles, Static Displays & Sponsorship

External Consultants and Specialists
In addition to the Board of Trustees, we also retain the services of an Medical Officer, Ophthalmic Examiner, Solicitor, Insurance Broker, Marine Surveyor, Consulting Civil Engineer, Architect and Chaplain.
