A team of new recruits have passed their training to join the lifeboat crew following an appeal for volunteers.

We recently made the appeal due to forthcoming crew retirements that required a boost to the number of crew. More than 40 people responded and a shortlist of 24 suitable candidates was drawn up.

The first six volunteers have received the intensive training required and have recently passed their assessments.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our newest crew and also thank our training team for all of their hard work.
