Learn about the work of the emergency services at this spectacular event, which celebrates the police, fire and rescue, ambulance service, air ambulance, coastguard and the many other organisations that work hard to keep us safe. We’ll be coming along with the RNLI’s Flood Rescue Team (subject to operational requirements) and some of our own lifeboat volunteers. Find out more, including how to get your free tickets, at https://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/newsroom/features/join-us-for-our-emergency-services-open-day/
Join local sea shanty group ‘The Barnacle Buoys’ and our lifeboat volunteers as we celebrate our nautical heritage in traditional musical fashion. As the nights start to draw in, what better way to spend an evening than among friends in the cosy atmosphere of our boathouse. And helping to raise money to support our volunteer lifeboat crew.
Doors open at 7pm and the music starts at 7.30pm. The event is open to everyone and attendance is free. There’s no need to book, but we will be collecting donations on the night. There will also be a cash bar. Oh, and the lifeboat will be out on the slipway for you to have a look at and members of the crew will be there to tell you more about what we do and how we save lives at sea.
We’d love to see you there, so put the date in your diary now!
(Please note that there is no parking at the lifeboat station. There is pay-and-display parking at the marina and some on-street parking on Pier Road and in other surrounding streets. Please park considerately. Please note also that the car park at the Royal Inn is for their customers only.)
